Like Ducking a Debate with Al Qaeda
In case you missed this, my colleague Michael Calderone stopped by a party last night in Manhattan hosted by News Corp, where Michael Bloomberg presidential buzz was in the air.

“Everybody in New York that I know thinks he’s a brilliant mayor, and everyone thinks he would be a brilliant president.”
But the line of the night goes to Fox News executive Roger Ailes, who is still upset Democrats won't participate at debates his news organization co-sponsors.
“The candidates that can’t face Fox, can’t face Al Qaeda,” said Mr. Ailes. “And that’s what’s coming.”

Fox needs the Democrats - the Democrats don't need Fox and they certainly don't want to give Fox any undeserved credibility. Fox isn't a journalism outlet - it's a partisan outlet for GOP propaganda, a significant part of the RNC media. Fox isn't Al Qaeda. Fox is more like Iraq. The candidates that won't debate on Fox are the ones who would also be too smart to invade Iraq for bogus reasons like the current moron in chief Bush.
