Chase to Move to Ground Zero

A state official said today that the Governor would hold a press conference on Thursday morning at his midtown office to announce that J.P. Morgan Chase and the Port Authority had agreed to a deal for the bank to occupy Site 5 at Ground Zero, where the damaged and moldy Deutsche Bank building is being dismantled.

Others expected to attend the press conference and share the credit are Mayor Bloomberg, Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, Empire State Development Corporation Chairman Patrick Foye and E.S.D.C. President Avi Schick as well as Port Authority officials.
