Dan Abrams Takes MSNBC Evening Slot; Scarborough Replaces Imus

Dan Abrams will stay in the MSNBC anchor chair in the 9 p.m. slot, instead of managing the cable network's news report, The New York Times reports; that means that Joe Scarborough will remain in the morning position previously occupied by Don Imus.

MSNBC said today that Dan Abrams, who has been the host of a 9 p.m. news hour called “Live with Dan Abrams” temporarily since July, will stay in the job permanently, leaving behind the managerial position he had occupied for a little over a year.

The move means that Joe Scarborough, who moved from prime time to host a show called “Morning Joe,” will be the permanent replacement for Don Imus, who had the morning slot until he was fired in April over racially charged comments.

Morning Joe is a pathetic attempt to copy the brilliant Imus in the Morning. Joe Scarborough seems dazed and confused and the woman with him, Meekah, is bland and boring. Does anyone actually watch this dribble?

I hope someone brings back Imus soon.

Dan Abrams is a joke. He brings legal commentary to a new low. He should be unemployed. I think he and Chris Mathews are mindless windbags. If you want a good satirical read about the low quality of MSNBC news, I would suggest "All the President's Costumed Characters" by Darryl Becker.

All they need at MessNBC now is Jerry Springer! What a line-up of losers. And who can resist the allure of "To Catch a Predator" and "Lock-up-The Conjugal Visit"? WOW! To be dubbed as a "news channel" this group falls a little short. The only thing they had was Don Imus and they let him be stripped away which exposed the shallowness of the programming. As for me and mine, we await the return of the I-Man.

I was on the "Live with Dan Abrams" set last week, and it was an amazing experience. Apparently, Dan is very idiosyncratic. For instance, before he goes on the air, he spends two hours meditating inside a hyperbaric chamber with his back to the studio. Then, as the director counts down to live air, Dan's chair begins a 180-degree turn just as his wig descends from the ceiling and is hermetically fastened to his skull by a robotic arm.

Weird!

I wondered what was wrong with Ann Coulter- and I just found out - it is her upbringing- while being questioned about the possible election of Ms. Clinton due to the split in the Republic party over the abortion views of some she said that she would deal with it as her family did with such things stating " I'll burn that bridge when I come to it", (I think that those are her exact words).

Dan needs this for beat the press.

Does this show anyuthing about her mind's process- a slip of sorts!
