I reported earlier this week that Council member Hiram Monserrate sent a letter to his political rival, state Senator John Sabini, criticizing a Sabini staffer for comments allegedly made at a public meeting.

Here, for your curiosity, is Monserrate’s letter, and Sabini’s response, which Monserrate’s office sent over at my request.

(By the way, a statement I relayed in my first post is has a more detailed response from Sabini).

Sabini Supporter (not verified) says:

Let me get this straight, Monserrate is using official government/taxpayer resources and LETTERHEAD for a clear and blantant political trick to make Sabini look bad (which he does not in any way...it is Monseratte who looks bad and desperate)? Perhaps the CFB or the Conflicts of Interest Board should look into Hiram Monserrate's absolute waste and abuse of taxpayer money.

What will Hiram's Latino (and mostly Catholic) constituency think of his flirtations with Scientology? Will Hiram be honest about his visits to the Scientology Celebrity Center to raise money? The above picture with Travolta was taken at just such an event.
