Recchia's Fund-Raiser
A reader (thank you!) passed on this invitation to City Councilman Domenic Recchia’s first major congressional fund-raiser, taking place on October 24 at Gargiulo’s Restaurant in Brooklyn.
The invite also includes quotes from newspaper paper stories from the New York Post, Crain’s and elsewhere. They’re a little fuzzy, but I’m sure it’s positive stuff.
Recchia has shown some interest in taking on Representative Vito Fossella, the city's only Republican congressman. The turnout here should function, in part, as a measure of the Democratic instutional support he'll have against Steve Harrison, who also wants a chance to run (again, in his case) against Fossella.
Great. Recchia and Harrison will kill each other in a Dem Primary, and the winner will still lose to Fossella 60-40.
