Another Jeremiah Wright Day
Somewhere, Barack Obama's aides are having a nervous morning.
Speaking at the National Press Club (but in front of what sounded on the CNN feed very much like an audience of non-journalist supporters), Obama's former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, just offered his thoughts on the black church and his role in the Democratic nominating process.
At one point he took a question asking whether he stood by his comments comparing the United States to the Romans who oppressed Jesus Christ.
"Yes, I can compare them," he said. "We have troops stationed all over the world."
Asked why he had decided to respond to the video clips of him saying controversial things at his Chicago church, he said, "This is not an attack on Jeremiah Wright. This is an attack on the black church."
Earlier in the talk, he explained his "God damn America" sermon by saying that he was referring to the conduct of the American government.

I'm wondering when he is going to lose his church's tax exempt status. He is despicable and I'm glad we got to see Obama's mentor's true colors. Jeramiah Wright can go to hell. What a miserable excuse of an American, and if Obama believes as his "like an uncle, 20 year spiritual leader", he can go to hell too!

Can we just stop with the politics and religion already? It's really not workable, which is why we had people decide this issue over 200 YEARS AGO!
We can't stop with the religion and politics because it is instructive on who Obamer is listening to, and on whom he goes for guidance and solace.
Wright will be Obama's demise.
