Apple Ad Back at the New York Times
That big Apple ad on nytimes.com is back today! Which is odd. Last Friday that ad appeared as well, which means that's two weeks in a row that Apple has taken over the Times home page.
Back in January, Times spokeswoman Catherine Mathis told us that Arthur Sulzberger Jr. had instituted "new rules" regarding ads like that and decided those would be limited to once a month.
Is that "rule" already finished? We asked and here's what Times spokeswoman Abbe Serphos just wrote to us: "While that remains the rule, there is some flexibility regarding timing as this is a test and learn situation."

A canticle and the romance.
When the sunshine
returns in the
light of a gentle
delight, remember
the sound of a
rosy notepaper,
discover the wisdom
in the care of a
beautiful darkness
and so, in the sky,
that delicate dream
will touch your
profile....

FINALLY, signs of intelligence, thoughtfullness and beauty in the blog world. Too often it seems to be the domain of the disenfranchised and angry. Thank you. Thank you also for what I choose to read into your comments, the VERY thing I look forward to everytime I see the bright blue bag on my doorstep.
