Thursday To Do: Free Oktoberfest Tasting

We love free things. We love the month of October. We love microbrew beer. Hence, we love a free tasting of Oktoberfest microbrew beer! Even if said tasting is at an expensive housewares store that probably is trying to get us to buy something we can't afford. (Like stylish beer glasses, perhaps.) So if you're anything like us, and you have no post-work drinking plans, you might want to head over to Simon Pearce on Park Avenue between 4 and 6 p.m. A "beer connoisseur" from Vermont's Long Trail Brewery will be there to give a presentation (that we suspect maybe only beer lovers would enjoy), followed by a tasting of its seasonal brews in chichi glassware. Our mouths are watering and its only 2 o'clock! [Via freenyc.net]
