Via The New York Times: The work of Tony award winners John Gallagher and Martin McDonagh will return to the Atlantic Theater Company for the 2008-09 season. Gallagher will star alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in Beau Willimon’s new Farragut North, a political drama loosely based on Howard Dean’s 2004 bid for the presidency, while a revival McDonagh’s 1998 The Cripple of Inishmaan will be directed by Garry Hynes. Additionally, a play by the filmmaker Ethan Coen, called Offices, a trio of one-act comedies focusing on workplace unpleasantness, will be directed by the Atlantic’s artistic director Neil Pepe. Atlantic Stage 2 will feature a new work by David Pittu, called What’s That Smell: The Music of Jacob Sterling and another as yet unannounced production.

Theater (not verified) says:

Gyllenhaal is no longer attached to this project, John Gallagher will be playing the part that he was rumored to be doing when this story floated last summer. The Atlantic Theater Co. doesn't list him on their site.
