Bill Clinton and the Obama-Vetting Argument
Are the Clintons really in any position to lecture Democratic voters about how irresponsible of them it would be to nominate Barack Obama?
For months, that's the game they've been playing -- warning, in ways subtle and overt, that Obama is a novice candidate who will be mercilessly chewed up by the big, bad Republicans.
Publicly, Hillary stresses how "tested" and "vetted" she is. Privately, Clinton backers don't mince words in painting apocalyptic scenarios in which the G.O.P. turns Obama, as the Democratic nominee, into a hybrid of George McGovern, Michael Dukakis, and Al Sharpton. Sometimes, they even slip up and say it publicly -- like when Clinton's campaign co-chairman spouted off about Obama's youthful drug use.
Now comes a report in the New York Times that Bill Clinton, who has privately fumed at the media's treatment of Obama for months (and who publicly did so on Friday), "believes reporters will be complicit if Mr. Obama becomes the nominee and loses to a Republican."
But if the Clintons are so adamant about nominating a candidate with as few vulnerabilities as possible, then why did Bill Clinton himself ever run for President?
Sure, he ended up winning in 1992, but Bill Clinton willingly exposed his party to grave electoral risk with the skeletons in his closet, some of which (Gennifer Flowers, draft-dodging) bubbled to the surface during the campaign. Others stayed under wraps until later. Clinton's liabilities were so numerous and potentially devastating that Nebraska's Bob Kerrey, then a Democratic presidential candidate and now a Hillary backer, warned in 1992 that the Republicans would open up Bill Clinton "like a soft peanut" in the fall.
Bill Clinton, of course, went on to win in 1992. But during the primaries, there were all sorts of Democrats warning that it would be political suicide to nominate him. Does it reall make sense for him to now treat Barack Obama the same way -- especially since he proved his doubters wrong?

i have followed the debates and apperances by the clintons, obama, and some of the republicans. i taped the debates and it was hillary who was attacked by edwards and obama not the other way around. it's bad enough to be attacked by the opposite party but by your own is not something that should be done. go back over the tapes of the debates and you will find obama and edwards fired the first bullet.
Where is he getting all this money?
How long has he been in the Untied States?
Does he have citizenship in another country by because of parentage or dual citizenship he can claim at any time?

In the fall, the Republicans will ask the same questions, only not as nicely.
I like Mr Obama, but I want the Democrats to nominate the best most attack proof nominee.
I do not want the Republicans to be able to elect another DECIDER A*****E.

- Bill Clinton is hilarious, he seems to have forgotten that while his wife was "acting" like she wants to change the trade deal with China, that Bill Clinton has received $1.2 million dollars from Chinese leaders, AND guess what he got did for it, THAT WOULD BE PROMOTING the CURRENT trade deal we have with China, saying that it is a GREAT deal! - Bill Clinton seems to have forgotten that he received $15 MILLION dollars for a company which represents the muslim leader of the country Dubai (the same country who last year was trying to buy 6 US PORTS). Bill Clinton was caught advising the Emir of Dubai on how to handle Congress when it came to negotiations for the purchase of the 6 US PORTS. By the way Hillary was "saying" she was against that Port deal. (Money went into Hillary's and Bill's joint bank account)
SO THE FACT IS: while Hillary pretends to be working for the American people, Bill Clinton has been making millions to work AGAINST THEM.
- Bill Clinton seems to have forgotten that most of Hillary's top advisers are registered lobbyists for FOREIGN governments and corporations. Mark Penn, Hillary's campaign chairman , was collecting $300,000 for PROMOTING the the Colombia trade deal, Hillary has been "acting" like she is against.
- Bill Clinton has seem to forgotten that while Hillary has often "criticized" the outsourcing of American jobs, Glover Park, a lobbyist working with Hillary Clinton's campaign was paid $120,000 to push for a Defense Department award to a company in FRANCE, called Airbus.
Jack Quinn, former counsel to Bill Clinton, got over $600,000 on that deal.
Bill Clinton and his wife are only interested in making money for themselves, and they have worked aAGAINST the interest of the American people year after year to do so. They have worked with Muslim countries to sell our Ports, they have worked with China, promoting the unfair trade deals we currently have with them, deals which are bankrupting our country, They have worked with Columbia, against the wishes of the American people, who will not supprt a country who is violent against their workers. Bill Clinton even still thinks that NAFTA is not a problem, and has said so, Bill thinks it's great.
And let's not even mention the fact that for 15 years Hillary Clinton REGULARLY attended the sermons of a man, Douglas Coe, who has in recorded speeches praised HITLER.
And let also not forget that Bill Clinton, and Hillary Clinton are both facing a fraud trial in the Superior Court of California.
