The Clinton Imperative: Make Wisconsin the Next New Hampshire

Well, there is one difference between New Hampshire and Wisconsin not discussed here: the former is a more conservative, whiter than white state filled with voters who probably concealed their biases, thus confounding the pundits and pollsters, and rendering the exit polls virtually useless. To the extent that was the case, this factor will likely be absent in Wisconsin, and play to Obama's advantage.

She might be able to but I tend to think that this movement that is going on with Obama has swelled beyond her control. This movement has been trying to take off but in NH its wings got clipped. Obama was suppose to win by polls taken the day before by 13 points and he end up losing by 4. The media coverage of Hillary may have done that people felt she was unfairly attacked and voted for her. If Obama had won NH by that 13 points it would have taken off and he would have rolled through NV and SC unto Super Tuesday. But NH stemmed that tide. It picked up again in SC but Hillary quickly went to Flordia and gave a stump speech over ghost degates but it did helped to stemm the movment. AFter Super Tuesday he has won 8 in a row. And he didnt just win he won by a large margin. And he didtn just win his base he won hers. It finally was able to take off and 8 convincing wins piled up. She has to try and stem it in WI because if he wins WI in double digits and even Hawaii he may just roll right through Ohio and Texas.

This is a movment and Hillary needs to treat it as such meaning when he starts winning even though it may be favorable to him and fight to stem that tide. In some ways I think this movement is bigger than Obama.

What IS the Obama movement, really? Is it a legitimate movement predicated on perspicuous, clearly delineated policy reform, or is it about identity politics?

I'm hard-pressed to imagine the former because the truth of the matter is that none but the most perfervid Obama supporters even KNOW what his policies are. Were I to take into consideration all the time I've spent watching Obama's speeches and interviews, it'd likely total in excess of an entire day. Yet I have nothing more than the vague notion of what this man proposes to do and absolutely no idea how he proposes to do it.

It's increasingly clear to me that the overwhelming majority of Obama's support comes from three sources: (1) self-interested blacks who are going to elect a black guy at any cost; (2) affluent whites under 35 who want to shrive their guilt; and (3) fly-over types who hate Hillary Clinton and would not vote for her regardless of her policies. Most of the policy-driven Democrats are voting for Hillary Clinton.

You: The "self-interested blacks" are the black political hacks who support Billary.

Me: Hardly. The black primary voters have been responsible for some of the most glaringly racist, race-line voting in memory. Had David Duke run against Jesse Jackson in the racist South of the 1960s, he'd have been hard pressed to do better with whites than Obama has done with blacks. All this from people who purported to love the Clintons for the last 15 years!

You: Yes, more affluent whites support Obama. The "Archie Bunkers" support Hillary. I guess I'm going to have to explain this to you Ron X, the affluent white are opinion leaders. Sorry.

Me: This kind of shameless, elitist horseshit is why we've had one Democratic president in the last 28 years and why Democrats can't get a vote away from the coasts. This is what's so absurd about Democratic-party politics. If you say something about blacks, Jews, gays, or illegal immigrants, they want to label you a bigot, yet unless you grew up in the right place, went to the right school, or share the quixotic causes of the affluent, they won't speak to you. Priceless. This is why Democrats can't get a vote in the South, which was formerly a Democratic stronghold. There was a time, not too long ago, when a Republican couldn't get a vote in Texas. Now it's nearly the opposite. And why? Because of people like you.

Me: And "wise up" should mean voting for a guy with no discernible policies, all of three years in the Senate, and absolutely no executive experience on any level of government? That is not a presidential resume, and I simply don't have enough guilt to feel compelled to vote for him simply because he's a Magic Black Guy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magical_Negro).

You: Obama appears to be king of the "fly over" states. (Check your map Ronnie). Billary won Mass, NY and CA and not very much else.

Me: She won California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Florida. She's going to win Texas, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. That will be the end of the story. She's winning the big states.

You: Her staunch supporters continue to ignore her support of the war mongering idiot-liar.

Me: As opposed to Obama, who (1) didn't have to cast a vote because he wasn't in the Senate when the War vote came up; and (2) continually voted "present" on crucial issues throughout his history in the Illinois State legislature. In fact, he cast "present" votes even on core Democratic issues like gun control (SB 71 and SB 759) and abortion rights(HB 382 and SB 230). Voting "present" is WORSE than making a bad vote because it evinces a total lack of conviction and a preoccupation with protecting your record against future attacks. It's essentially an abdication of your Office. Hillary made a mistake on the war, but I'd take her "yes" vote over Obama's strategic cop-outs any day of the week.

I am watching a Hillary Clinton speech where she is AGAIN co-opting Barack Obama's message and language. She is literally yelling -- "YES WE WILL" repeatedly and trying to get the crowd to yell it also...saying "we got a little hot on our rhetoric, but we got a little excited." She is belatedly pitching her website and tel. no. DURING THE SPEECH (and debates!). She is so inauthentic she will co-opt and steal ANYTHING. Cry. Yell. Mimic as if we don't SEE (like the MACHINE) how inauthentic. Sadly, the crowd was as amazed at the knock-off as I was -- and didn't respond and join her. John McCain is also leveraging Mr. Obama's words this week as well. Turn the page. YES WE WILL??? Pathetic. Guess she STILL hasn't "found her own voice" since NH. How many years does it take??? It's neither race, gender, nor economic status turning so many Democrats against Hillary this year, but rather a sydrome that can be described simply in two words: "Clinton Fatigue."

George W. Bush's mismanaged wars and erosions of American security -- began during the Clinton Administrations and he never would have been elected were it not for the SCANDALS of the Clinton Administrations, as Al Gore knows. Mr. Obama will dissect BOTH the Clinton and Bush Administrations -- and the IMPACT on the American people, w/out SPIN. He will make THE CASE for TRANSFORMATION. Alohilani: I agree. Running/managing a Campaign based upon dated, tired divisions is ridiculous. Mr. Obama isn't the ONLY African-American that has white relatives. Take a look around. Thomas Jefferson, one of the Founding Fathers and author of the Declaration of Independence, had children with Sally Hemmings -- a SLAVE. When Mr. Obama laughs about his being related to Dick Cheney, he is addressing the stupidity of this dated/tired discussion front and center. African-Americans have waited for this moment in our history for our white brethern to get how ridiculous this is. You can't choose your relatives in the United States of America -- and those of us who have a lineage that goes back multiple generations knows we are ALL related. Only newcomers who have bought into these dated/tired historical narratives are left. The Clintons (and Ms. Solis-Doyle's MANAGEMENT) tapped into this zeitgist with their Latino strategy, to the detriment of Latinos who are also not monolithic. Blatently fostering a NATIONAL IDENTITIFICATION FOR LATINOS AS OVERT RACISTS is not positive -- and some Hispanic NY politicians are moving toward Barack because they realized how damaging this will be for their futures. Of course, EVERYTHING/EVERYONE is currency for the Clintons to use and discard...as Ms. Solis-Doyle realized too late. Hopefully, Latinos will see their own future in her experience and quickly CORRECT this racist identity FAST. They will be left behind as America once again goes through a new TRANSITION, which ironically makes it more possible for quality woman to move into the upper ranks of politics, business and other realms -- as the Civil Rights Movement buttressed and was leveraged by Gloria Steinem's Women's Rights Movement in the 1960s -- though you will NEVER hear her or Feminists openly say it. Hello My Fellow Americans,

We must pick a President who can stand up and battle for us and our Country without backing down. The next President is walking into the White House with a massive mess left on the desk waiting for them. Regardless of who it is, they are going to be faced with a great challenge. One that will require experience, dedication, and someone with solutions to those problems.

I am not here trying to put anyone down. But I am asking you to step back away from the Obama Hype, and really look at him, what solutions has he offered? What details has he shared with America in how he is going to get the job done? He hasn't.

True, he gives great speeches. But speeches aren't solutions. Speeches don't pay for your education, put food on your table, put clothes on your back, and his health care does not cover all Americans. He plans on cutting the cost, but offers no detail as in how he will do that. What about those people who still wont be able to afford it even when the cost has been cut?

His plan will leave over 15 million Americans as they are "without health coverage". How many of you who do not have health coverage are voting for him? I wonder how many of you will be one of those 15 millions not covered by his plan?

People like to try and remind everyone of every single mistake Hillary has made in her life. We all make mistakes, we learn from them, they make us wiser further on down the road.

Hillary's health care plan includes every single American. Yes she tried getting this plan through before and it failed, it failed because of drug and insurance companies knocking it, and now those companies have came together and are now backing her, have helped her come up with the plan, she will lower drug cost and insurance cost, and even then, those who still can not afford it after that has been done, will be covered by the Gov. Its a great plan, as many of her other plans are.

I for one am glad that Hillary and former candidate John Edwards, supports UHC for all Americans under this plan, because far too many little children and teenage children are without coverage while the parents are out drinking the money up, playing poker etc, and not giving a hoot about those childrens health care. And we also have many Americans who just cannot afford it no matter how cheap it is because far too many other bills need to be paid.

But I am just asking you to really look at both Clinton and Obama without gender and race being a factor, look at their ideas and solutions. Vote to better yourself and your family, and America. And in my opinion, only one person stands out for that job.
