Cuomo Less Pleased Than Paterson With Bruno's Leadership

Here's some YouTube video, from New York State’s Democratic Rural Conference in Saratoga earlier this month, of a campaign-like speech from Andrew Cuomo in which he talk about Democratic efforts to take over the Joe Bruno-run State Senate. Cuomo said [at the 2:06 mark], “The Republicans had their chance and they failed.”

Which provides a neat contrast, in terms of approaches to Republicans in Albany, with the state's highest elected Democrat. David Paterson told reporters yesterday, “I’m pleased to have Senator Bruno as majority leader. He helped me get the budget done on time.”
