David Gregory Replaces Tucker Carlson on MSNBC

Tucker Carlson is out. David Gregory is in.
Today, MSNBC officials announced sweeping changes to their primetime lineup.
Most notably: starting Monday, March 17, NBC White House Correspondent (and robo newsman) David Gregory will be anchoring a new show, Race for the White House weekdays at 6 P.M.
The new show, billed as a "a fast-paced daily look at the latest election news" will replace the long struggling Tucker.
Further tapping into the NBC News political resources, MSNBC also announced that Andrea Mitchell will anchor MSNBC each weekday from 1 to 2 pm.
Back in primetime, as first reported by Howard Kurtz in today's Washington Post, Dan Abrams' show at 9 pm will kickoff tonight with a new name (Verdict) and a new format (more legal news).
More from MSNBC's announcement:

Tucker is one of the top political minds inside the Beltway, and we look forward to continuing to feature his insightful analysis."

I suppose the 15 people who watch MSNBC will be upset.
Does this mean that his BFF dance partner, MC Rove, will be a frequent guest? Ugh!
I think the new line up is a great idea. I always enjoy David Gregory and Andrea Mitchell. I LOVE Chris Matthews (even when he is a jerk)and Keith. Rachael Maddow is terrific and I hope to see more of her. Tucker will do fine with commentary. His view is always appreciated. I Tivo Chris when I am not at home. Can't live without my Hardball. Keep of the good work.
I heard Carlson use the word BUTT BOY on his show just a few days ago. The last time I heard Tucker Carlson say BUTT BOY was on his previous show on Sundays, also canceled. He called Jon Stewart of Comedy central's The Daily show a BUTT BOY. The only BUTT BOY is Carlson, a snide little condescending jerk. GOOD BYE GOOD Riddance.
MSNBC AND FOX ARE TOO BIAS FOR ME.....ILL STICK TO CNN.
I am expecting big things from David Gregory. I enjoy his knowledgeable remarks, both political and otherwise. I do hope he will explore Barack Obama in depth. This man was accepted without us really knowing much about him. I think it is time to investigate his relationship with Rezko which goes back many years. It also disturbs me that he could embrace a church and minister that is so hateful towards whites and the USA. To a man that words mean so much to, he certainly embraced someone who uses them to incite and inflame. I also fail to see how he can be president of ALL the people if he doesn't embrace them all. The fact that his church is so Afrocentric disturbs me also. They pledge their Allegience to Africa not the US. If they feel that strongly why don't they move to Africa ans spend their resources over there .
Sorry for the rant but our country is in a very precarious position now and we need a leader who loves her and will guide her back to greatness. I am afraid Obama is not that person.
Good luck with your new show, David. I'm looking forward to tonight and many many nights to come.
I hope we start getting some balanced coverage out of MSNBC. All this distressing news about obama's church and slumlord connections has gone under-reported. There's no way he can win the white house now. I pray Hillary can win the nomination, the thought of four more years of republican wars and court nominations is more than this country can bare. Now if we could get Olberman to stop the rah rah act for Obama MSNBC might be worth watching again. I'm ready to give it another try.
I haven't watched MSNBC for well over a month. The extreme bias shown against Hillary really ended that viewing habit. The last straw was Keith Olbermann. I think he smelled too much jock sweat and it made him lose his perspective. I won't watch Gregory either. He has already established his pattern. jzy
It's about time! Gregory is a terrific choice, and Mitchell's experience really comes through. Where's Maddow's show? That would make the perfect complete lineup. I know - maybe they could push all the prison junk later into the night after everybody goes to bed.
Re: Tucker - glad to see they've finally come to their senses -way too bias and arrogant - FOX needs to nab him up.
Now all we need to see/hear from NBC/MSNBC is some balanced reporting on both sides of the aisle - so to speak.
I just listened to Tucker Carlson on Hardball .... arguing that Hillary Clinton's efforts to saet Michingan delegates is legitimate .... Is this guy for real? .... Let me refer the question to Ed Rendell in the LA Times 3/24/08: "You can't make any arguement in Michigan, because Hillary was the person who was on the ballot." ... Yeah Carlton, you are a paragon of fair-minded commentary ... and deep-thinker too.
