Everyone Wants a Private Forest
It seems everyone is deserting the cities for open fields and fresh rural air. Tom Brokaw raises and sells bison off of his ranch in Montana and yesterday we learned that Jack White and wife, supermodel Karen Elson are enjoying their weeping willows in Nashville, where Ms. Elson will soon open a vintage store. How quaint!
Now we hear from The Huffington Post that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's new $70 million chateau on the French Riviera has its own olive grove. Can we look forward to the soon to be parents of six to be picking and curing their own olives? The Jolie-Pitted Calamatas?
The 35-bedroom home, on which they have signed a three year lease, also comes with an organic vineyard, 20 fountains, a private lake, and its own private forest.
