Ron Paul Writing Another Book, This One Called The Revolution: A Memoir

Paul: The Revolution Continues

The Publisher's Lunch deal wire just lit up with word of a new Ron Paul book: a "memoir of his career in politics, revealing his encounters with the major political figures over the last thirty years, and those events that shaped him and made him the man and politician he is."

The book is hilariously titled The Revolution: A Memoir. It is a follow-up to his last one, The Revolution: A Manifesto.

Ben Greenberg at Grand Central acquired the book for a major sum—probably a good bet, however much it was, considering Manifesto was catapulted to number one on the New York Times bestseller list by the liberterian congressman's rabid (but well-organized!) disciples.

Long live Ron Paul. We need him in office and not Obama (fake.)

Kira (not verified) says:

We do not have rabies. We are conservative Americans who believe in peace, prosperity, and Constitutional law. We bought Dr. Paul's book as did many others who did not have prior knowledge of Dr. Paul and his revolution so that we might better understand his solutions to the critical problems our great nation is entrenched in. Paul has been very outspoken and alone in Congress in denouncing U.S. foreign policy and monetary issues these past many years. His predictions were right on and no one heeded the warnings. His solutions, as presented in his manifesto just might be the right prescription for our ailing nation. We would be wise to follow his advice and get our country back on track.

mr. neyfakh,
please consider what you just wrote and i quote: "...and those events that shaped him and made him the man and politician he is."

there is a grievous error in the above statement. dr. ron paul is NOT a politician. he is a
statesman. that IS the difference between this magnificent man and ALL others.

please make the correction.

thank you,

sunny

What a lame article. I mean seriously, how jaded and cynical can someone get. This guy, Leon, needs some serious therapy to help him deal with those things that happened to him when he was a child.

Andy White (not verified) says:

Ron Paul and the Austrian Economists predicted everything that's happening with the Economy right now. If you want to understand how we got to this point and where we're likely going to end up, study the Austrian School of Economics. Such as Ludwig Von Mises and Murray Rothbard.

Aaron (not verified) says:

Great! Can't wait to read it.

Ron Paul has been right about the Iraq War, the housing bubble and the FED screwing this nation over. It a real shame that this country doesn't like to hear the truth.

Lord Rothschild (not verified) says:

hahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahaha.

I can't wait to see you losers finally fall.

You belong to me. It's that simple.

Many thanks to my servants at the Council Of Foreign Relations.

What this country needs is a dr. Just as all the so called Lords and all their buddies need a psych evaluation. If they are not going help better the situation then they are the problem. I didn't advocate any of the current policy in Washington DC. Ron Paul is my president, I swear allegiance to a statesman.

Vote for the Constitution. Nothing else! (not verified) says:

We should have a president like Thomas Jefferson or George Washington!

Why does that need to remain 250+ years ago? Why can't we have brilliant, constitutional statesmen like that again?

Congressman Ron Paul votes strictly according to the Constitution and Bill of Rights and is very knowledgeable about the Founding Fathers.

He has also had military service in the 1960s.

I truly believe Dr. Ron Paul stands almost as great as Thomas Jefferson and George Washington.

McCain is the sort of person General Washington would have court-marshalled and possibly arrested as a treasonous criminal.

Any action contrary to the U.S. Constitution is treason.

Kudos to Mr. Neyfakh for pointing out Ron Pauls book has remained a great seller. Im glad he's using whats left of the first amendment and 'free' market to capitalize.

Its what America is all about. Standing up to the liars and pointing out the flaws. We need change all right. The Fed is going to be called out for what they are. To many Americans are waking up to this ponzi scheme.

What the Fed does is criminal. Period. They steal our money by inflating, it is an admitted tax on all the people by unelected officials that operate with no oversight. Common sense would tell me that its corrupt. If I make paper money Im a criminal. If they print a gazillion dollars to bail their buddies out, they are not?

Mr.Neyfakh, once the dollar fails, let me see who's policy you would prefer. One beholden to the people or one beholden to men in marble palaces that claim no country. Certainly not the USA.

Ron Pauls imprint on American history has just begun. People want answers and Ron Paul is telling the truth.

Based on RP's vote count, there are well over a million of those "rabid (but well-organized!) disciples" living in America. In some States they represent over 20% of the Republican voting block.

What is truly hilarious that where RP supporters are “rabid” about ideas with real meaning, Hillary-Obama-McCain supporters represent a shallow, “but well organized” group, who foam instead over the gender, race, and personalities of their candidate.

Kira, Rabid means: "Marked by excessive enthusiasm for and intense devotion to a cause or idea"

But I agree, it was a poor choice of words and the author is a little condescending, but what can you expect from a socialist New Yorker?

Ron Paul does not have disciples, or followers, or groupies, or whatever name you might apply to zealots with no minds of their own. Ron Paul has supporters, and that's all there is to it!

Ron Paul is a rare politician. Rare and honest politicians like himself and Dennis Kucinich have been marginalized by the two-party and media elites for far too long.

Thank you Ron Paul for standing up to the corrupt Republicrat/media regime! God bless.

Ben Greenberg is a corporate toady. He's a slimy opportunist, and I believe he's overshot his mark on this one. You can try to slime your way up the corporate ladder on Dr. Paul's all you like, Mr. Greenberg, but it will come back to bite you!

Thomas (not verified) says:

The only person rabid here is the author Leon Neyfakh for being so deluded into thinking that The Revolution: A Manifesto made #1 in the NY Times bestseller list without the support of the general readership.

Clay Shentrup (not verified) says:

I'm not rabid. I just love Ron Paul's searing honesty and intellectualism. I'm currently reading "The Revolution: A Manifesto", and I'm just totally awestruck by the sound and sane tone of his writing. He takes us back through our nation's formative era and gives us a visceral sense of the context in which our Constitution was written. He cites what Presidents and other significant political figures have said on Constitutional matters throughout our nation's history, in a way that makes it all seem so timely and relevant to today. There's something so vivid and so lucid about it, that you're able to picture those events as if they were recent and real, instead of dusty "literary" relics. If someone like Ron Paul had taught my civics or history class, you had better believe I would have listened instead of practically snoozing my way through.

This country has been lulled to sleep by television and other distractions, and we hardly have a clue about or concern over the deep inner workings of our government. Candidates like Barack Obama may improve significantly upon the horrendous blunders of the Bush administration, but as I read Ron Paul's book, I cannot help but think, "It's just not enough." Our government is totally out of control, and something's got to change.

Josh - the only thing that will be biting Ben Greenberg are twinkies...and they wont even be biting him...he will biting THEM!

jeebus (not verified) says:

The Ron Paul agenda is to return this country to the 19th century. He and his disciples propose to throw away all the gains that working people have made. They want to abolish the social safety net. They want to revoke the Civil Rights Act of 1964. And they want to give your state government the right to tell you what you can and cannot do with your reproductive organs.

I don't know about you, but that is a "revolution" that I do not want to be part of. Luckily, it is also a "revolution" that stands zero chance of succeeding. The American people, along with the rest of the civilized world, has soundly rejected Mr. Paul's ideas. His ideology is as dead in America as Stalinism is.

Why act like this? I assume the blogger enjoys 1) inflation, 2) War with everyone, especially Iran, 3) Socialism

Well thanks a lot Leon, that was quite the announcement! Maybe you hate Ron Paul because he doesn't want to fight Israel's wars with our money and soldiers? I accept that as your reason, but would prefer you come right out and say it. Counterpoint being, Ron Paul doesn't want us stopping Israel from conducting military actions. So when Israel looks to the US for approval, we'll just shrug and maybe they can finally take care of that problem once and for all. Or not... I suggest checking out the Campaign for Liberty, the book "Blowback" and of course "the rEVOLution"
We'll let you join the true conservative movement after taking 1 year off from all blogging and political coverage
