Stakeout! Fox News Camps At New York Times Tower For McCain Story

Yesterday, Media Mob heard from several Times staffers about the Fox News trucks set up outside the Times building. Even though there's presumably less reason to have B-roll of the tower today, the Fox News trucks—and a weather-resistant canopy to protect cameras and reporters—are still there! So we sent trusty intern Matthew Townsend to the scene. Here's what he found out:
Fox has a news truck parked on 8th Avenue and an S.U.V. on 40th Street next to a camera and some propped up lights that are covered by a tarp. The technicians in the SUV said they arrived at 3 a.m. to set up for the day and didn't know if they would be back tomorrow.
Fox has done several live shots from the scene the past two days. A Fox News producer said that they were "swamped" and that they hadn't talked to any Times staffers, but had tried. "They aren't talking to us," the producer said.
But one harried Times staffer talked to us! On a smoke break, he said, "They can spend all fucking day out here, what do I care? It doesn't bother me."

Down with the New York Times!!!
I love it!
Murdoch is keeping the heat on. The New Times is sinking fast: he's going to make sure they come out of this election hurting with the long-term plan of finishing them off.
As for the guy the Observer interviewed who isn't bothered by this is as delusional as the other occupants of the Times asylum. Hello! The barbarians are at your door idiot!
