Ron Paul Is Glad That Giuliani Is Tanking

I bumped into Ron Paul in the lobby of the Des Moines Marriott earlier today and asked him if he was surprised about the rapidly receding public profile of the Rudy Giuliani campaign.
“I’m surprised he even got any attention at all in the beginning,” Paul said.
Paul, of course, has a history with the former mayor going back to a G.O.P. debate in South Carolina, when Giuliani called Paul’s suggestion that American foreign policy was partly to blame for Sept. 11 “absurd.”
The exchange provided Giuliani, who had been struggling to find his early footing in the race, a boost that sustained him for months.
“He has views different than mine,” Paul said. “And I am pleased that mine are going to be more popular than his.”

Ron Paul's views are from the Constitution and our founding fathers. These views are popular, and Ron Paul's message of liberty and freedom is popular.
As someone who voted for W. Bush the last two terms, and was subsequently let down by him and the other neoconservatives in congress, I am grateful and invigorated to have found a traditional Republican once again in Ron Paul.
Here is a great assertion that Regan would have voted for Ron Paul...

Thank God for media sources that are not as corrupt as the politicians that they serve and profit from.
Go Ron Paul!!!
i am so happy that rudy guiliani is tanking in the polls and that it looks as if america wont have to suffer under our own version of "boris yeltsin". ron paul is an american statesman and rudolf guiliani again showed he has no class when he verbally attacked him at the s.carolina debate. same when he turned down that check from that saudi prince after 9/11.regardless of what you think of candidate ron paul he deserves the same respect that rudi would afford to hillary. after all, rudi not an elected anything any more where as ron paull was questioning the chairman of the fedaral reserve. america showing they dont need or want representation or leadership like that. let the best person win, as long as its not rudi or john mccain !!
Giuliani is an intelligent man who played a significant role after the NYC attacks. That aside, when it comes to presidential politics, he is out of his league when compared to Ron Paul. Not to hold it against Mr Giuliani, the other candidates are similarly disadvantaged.
Call me strange, but I think it’s funny that all of the Ron Paul bashers have not even had the common sense to read what he is about, or for what he is against. When a person has the decency to lay the truth out in front of you, why is it so hard to accept? Why is it, that we cannot fathom a person who really and truly wants to put America back together as it should be, and that could truly save our ass? Listen to what the man has to say. Constitution, Oh my God, I guess it would be really wrong to try to get back to that. People that were a damn sight sharper that the one we have today wrote it. And it worked! Are we to assume that it’s no good any more? NOT! Money that’s worth nothing? What is wrong with going back on the gold standard?
Lets do this. Can any body tell me what’s is wrong with Ron Paul ? You go, Dr. No!
I absolutely detest the fact that the major media will not give Ron Paul ANY face time despite his accomplishments in the campaign thus far. If the prosecuting, twice-divorced, con-man that is Rudy wins the election it will seriously be a signal to sell the U.S. and look elsewhere to live.
Just the fact that the national news will not give Ron Paul any time in prime news time just show how unprofessional they are in their claims of being "unbiased". They can't even keep their own opionions out of their reporting.
I have never in all my 45 years seen a candidate back up the U.S. Constitution like Ron Paul has. All the other ones take the deviant routes and compromise the national standard.
Part of the problem is that many people think the Constitution is an out-dated document that was written for another time. I assure you that I am not one of those. If we let the Constitution slip away, so too will our freedoms. Ron Paul is the best man for the job.
Hey Jim,
Don't know if you're from NYC, BUT, I am.
FYI. ALL, and I mean ALL, the NYPD and NYFD CANNOT STAND Rude Guiliani.
He just happened to be the Mayor at the time of 9/11 attack. He did NOTHING to really support the BRAVE officers and Firefighters.
He made promises to them he DIDN'T KEEP just to get their votes. Like NO raises!! This prior to 9/11.
If he couldn't keep promises to New York's Bravest and Finest WHAT's he going to do for the Nation.
NOTHING!!!
RON PAUL IS the ONLY choice...and a Fine and Brave one at that.
PS. My friend (a retired NYC cop, 20 years, @ 9/11), her husband NYPD (21+ years on the job) Lieutenant was a first responder. He's a 43 year old man just recently diagnosed with 75 year old LUNGS!! He's on so many medications and has been already hospitalized once for a full month with 30% capacity for breathing. NOW he also has bronchitis, asthma, respiratory infection and TONS of medication...he's slowly dying.
Boycott Iowa!!!!!
Ron Paul!
Ron Paul is the first candidate on either side of the aisle that my mother (staunch Christian conservative) and I (gay atheist) can both get excited about. Get the Fed back to it's limited functions and protect liberty! real value to the dollar, productive foreign policy, TELLING THE TRUTH!!!
It's obvious how much special interests are trying to shut him out and dismiss him.
FIGHT BACK!!
Keep it up Ron Paul!!
I am a Filipino working in Malaysia. My home country is still reeling from U.S. meddling in our affairs and backing of a brutal dictator that destroyed our once proud nation. RON PAULS' candidacy is VITAL TO ALL COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD. I've watched US elections over the years hoping for a real change since any change in America affects us all. No one has ever gotten me so excited about the prospect of real change! Besides, who would be stupid enough to say NO TO INCOME TAX ABOLITION? I guess supporters of all the other candidates are very happy to fork over up to half of all they have worked for all their lives! Amazingly stupid...
Rudy giuliani is finished becouse of the video on youtube.
I am totally appalled by media's failure to even mention Ron Paul. He is the the only canidate that means what he says. He is the only canidate that the people themselves chose to run for president. I personaly believe that the new's media are being bribed to not mention him. He has too many good points and has never voted for a tax. This scares the other candidates and in return, they pay off the new's media to not mention him.
Ron Paul is the only honest person running, it is obvious that our media is controlled by the criminals who run our goverment.( The war criminals)
It is also obvious that Iowa was fixed and so are most of our magor elections.
i'm shocked that so many people in here support ron paul.I think he will do a lot better in new hampshire.if he doesn't,it will just confirm my suspicions that the voting rigged.
Boycott Iowa? What is there to boycott? Ethanol, or corn that is all that comes from Iowa. Iowa imports 90% of its food. The Corn Lobby is one that has gone bad in Iowa, they should look at sustainable food production.
Peace

Hi,
Guiliani is so bad, that he would make President Bush look like a constitutionalist....scary indeed...
Thank God for Ron Paul. Ron Paul 2008!
Hi,
I am an Asian person and I follow the US elections as it affects everyone. To me Ron Paul makes alot of sense.
He tells what really is going on the ground in Asia and other parts of the world.
If anyone can change for good the image of America right now is Ron Paul. He sounds sincere.
I hope he wins the 2008 elections!
I agree with all the comments above, I have been reading Ron Paul's website and I have not found one thing that I disagree with him about. There is hope.
I'm recalling a phrase that, for some reason, keeps popping up in my mind. It seems that I read it in a history book, or it was said in an elemetary school play or something like that. I don't think I made it up. And I don't think Ron Paul made it up either. It goes something like "GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH". I'm pretty sure it was meant to be a significant statement, something worth remembering. Better yet, something to live by! Does that ring a bell with anybody and do we need to remind the rest of the country of it? I think I'll send Mr. Paul some cash now and see if I can find myself a bumper sticker and a Ron Paul.com pin to wear for the next year. Who's with me?!
I have looked at and listened to all of the candidates. And with one exception, they all sound the same on BOTH sides of the slate. They all mouth their platitudes and cliches and try to form the next sound byte. The all try to come up with another ungrounded platitude, such as 'the candidate for change!', whatever that means, and then argue amongst themselves about who has the right to claim that meaningless phrase. Unanswered is: change from what and change to what?
The only one who has actually said anything is Ron Paul. He argues everything from philosophical and economic principles, and his fundamental premise is the value of human freedom.
My God, look at all these Ron Paul supporters!
"Give me liberty or give me death" --I've definitely heard that before. Patrick Henry said it and it sounded good enough to repeat for the last 230 years, didn't it? It STILL sounds good!
Giuliani? Huckabee? Romney? Thompson? Who are these guys kidding? We don't want fascism or a theocracy, and Hillary and Obama's socialist dreams are nothing more than nightmares to anyone who's read a history book.
Ron Paul! Ron Paul! Ron Paul!
It's only too bad that Ron Paul will never be President of the United States of America, the corporate royalty the run the country will not let it happen. To be honest I even think President Barak Obama being JFKed is not in the realm of insane paranoia.
I like the idea of Obama/Biden '08 - I am a Democrat, or at least have been in the past - but Ron Paul would certainly be my first choice to get this country back from the hands of the special interest corporate warforprofit mongers who've raped our coffers and our credibility. The rest of the people running for president are very conspicuously talking heads. Soundbites are all they're good for.
What will he do for the American Indian?
The War was all about $$$$$ as all wars are! Don't be played for the fool. Teach thyself!

Congressman Charles A. Lindbergh, Sr. of Minnesota in Banking and Currency, and the Money Trust, c1913. On page 102-103 he says "Rather than assume the care of the slaves, they would control labor with the use of capital......in order that they might enforce upon humanity the industrial slavery that the trusts preferred rather than the chattel slavery which then existed in the Southern States."

As early as the 1840s J. B. Jones was warning his readers to follow the money, to observe not only where it was going but where it had come from and what it was being used for.
Ron Paul in one of the debates said we should do away with the Federal Reserve act of 1913 - so these issues our ancestors died for in their Second War of Independence are still around.
The CSA would have ended slavery in a responsible way and not Lincoln's way, Lincoln said "Let Them Root Hog or Die". (see the 1860 census for freed blacks in the South, men of property in the CSA).

Did anyone notice that the pie chart on CNN showed Ricardson with 2% but on the Repug side the whole night they would not fill in teh final piece of the pie which was Paul's 10% - whata bunch of jokers. Joh king and mrs John king Dana Bash included. All DC press corp sold their sole, they are talking heads without an ounce of real blood to give up their jobs and be real reporters
