Hillary Not on the Schedule for Spitzer or Paterson

I'm not sure how significant this is, but I noticed that Eliot Spitzer, whose plan to allow illegal immigrants to obtain a driver’s license caused so much trouble for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign until he withdrew it later, is not attending any campaign events for her in New York leading up Tuesday’s primary.

Neither is David Paterson, the lieutenant governor, whose appearance right behind Clinton during her speech after the Iowa caucuses and along the campaign trail highlighted, for some, Spitzer's absence from the side of their home-state senator.

Spitzer's public schedule for the upcoming week includes skiing at Windham to highlight an “I Love NY” winter tourism campaign and photo-op on Tuesday as he votes in the primary.

I would like very much for a reporter to ask Gov. Spitzer about the article in the Times the other day on Bill Clinton helping a friend get a uranium rights contract in Kazakhstan. Eliot Spitzer made his name on being a straight arrow. People of integrity don't think the Clintons have integrity.

I think Governor Spitzer is too cool for Hillary. That's really what it comes down to.
