ISN'T IT RICCI? The art and fashion mafias, lately escaped to Europe for fashion shows—much more festive, dahling, than all the doom and gloom around here—announce their return at the Whitney Museum of Art’s 2008 Gala, sponsored by wrinkle-less oddity Donatella Versace and with an after-party hosted by glum actress Christina Ricci, socialite/heiress Amanda Hearst, Keith Richards spawn Alexandra, and, yes, Leighton Meester again! Artist Julian Schnabel, a big furry fellow who likes to lounge around in his pajamas, has collaborated on limited-edition jewelry with Donatella, to be auctioned off, and the denial in the room will be so thick he could probably make a sculpture out of it.
