The Real Estate

Tim and Elisabeth Hasselbeck Buy Glassy $3.25 M. Condo

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Tim Hasselbeck and his wife, Elisabeth, the blond, slightly annoying Survivor star-turned-View co-host, just bought a four-bedroom, 2,349-square-foot apartment at Ariel West, the new tower developed by Gary Barnett at Broadway and 99th Street. According to city records, they spent $3.25 million.

The floor plan says that two of the bedrooms, the 30-foot living/dining room, the family room, and the master bathroom are all lined against a massive wall of windows. Of course, that means there will be a nice view for the View co-host, which would have easily made for a nice pun-dripped headline—but there are times in every real estate writer's life when the opportunity to write genuinely idiotic double-entendres must be resisted.

In any case, it's not the first Upper West Side place for the couple. They spent $999,000 in 2005 on an apartment 20 blocks south, city recoreds show, which they haven't sold off yet. That place probably didn't have Ariel's über-condo bonuses like a 51-foot indoor pool, an outdoor basketball court, a pet grooming salon, billiards parlor, and an "elaborate" childrens' playroom, which will suit Ms. Hasselbeck's elaborate tastes.

E.Hasselbeck is an annoying POS with a sense of entitlement. She deserves a cursed building.

Does TH even have a job? Is he still the 4th string QB who never plays?

The Hasselbeck's must have a number of full-time PR flacks. How can reporters continue to mis-report Tim Hasselbeck's job. Tim is the 4th string - yes 4th string - quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals. This is after he was fired as the 3rd string QB for the NY Giants. The guy hasn't played in a game since 2003. And he is in the record books as the absolute worst QB in NFL history based on statistics. So why the heck does the media keep describing him as "the quarterback". In fact, Arizona hasn't signed him for the 2008-09 season so technically he is unemployed. Good grief.

Thanks for the update....same story from my team the Redskins......EH talks about him as if he is playing every week....obviously their audience are not football fans! TH was on Fox for awhile and was horrible...but wouldn't be surprised to see him back...EH is totally phony....claims as a conservative (of which I am/was too) she has such high morals but sucks up to BW who is saying having an affair with a married man is fine....then why doesn't she just stay home with her children instead of working....and they could use an intelligent, knowledgeable repub...she can't even get the facts right with her card in hand....Arizona took him late LY so maybe the same TY...

why is the building cursed?

She is a pain on the View. Tells other people to be
quiet while she is talking, but interrups every one else.
Too high and mighty. I love the fact that Tims brother
is the better quarterback.

Living in a senior complex, there are 6 of us women who USED to watch The View every morning but have discontinued to do so because of EH. We cannot stand her judgemental attitude and her constant INTERRUPTING ....even Barb and guests. She thinks she is the only one who has pertinent info with always saying 'percentage of this and percentage of that'. We say: get rid of her. There are many magazines who say negative things about her, especially when polled by the public. And Tim is suppose to be a spokesperson for ESPN during football season. PLEASE...what does he know...he can't even get a job as a quarterback.

Mali (not verified) says:

She's a lot like Bush, she just doesn't get it. I'm all for listening to all view points but she's irritating and very defensive on the show because no one else shares her views.

Anonymous (not verified) says:

She is so misinformed and horrible on The View. Absolutely warped "VIEWS" on EVERYTHING! Cannot stand her and they should get rid of her...take sheri with her.

It is time everyone clued into the fact that the Hasselbecks are hopeless and stupid. He cant get a job as a football player yet on the View you would think according to her he is the greatest and plays every week. Why doesn't she quit the View and join the Bush and McCain group. She says she feels guilty for leaving her kids so why does she go to work and leave them. I cant stand her and I am not alone in my opinions.

Anonymous (not verified) says:

I think EH is part of the campaign and uses the view to give us all a headache, and I am (or after seeing EH introduction at McCain luncheon, maybe not any longer) a republican. She just looked horrible on fox tonight, bad make up and looks haggled.

I am surprised the View would continue to allow her rude and often idiotic behavior. I hope Michele O never goes back on the View if EH is still employed.
