There is no doubt an interest in the sexual aspect of these girls. However, it is a far cry from that to an accusation of paedophilia. I know a psychiatrist who is fascinated by the psychology of the girl/woman - the way they learn to lie to their parents for instance without the slightest degree of guilt (there is simply no other way for them to develop their own personalities). Carrol's interest seems to me to be of that vein. I see looking in them but not touching. On the contrary, I see a nearly worshipful love of her nearing sexuality that would be spoilt by the touch. But perhaps I'm naive.
