First, Lat has clearly disclosed a commercial relationship with Lateral Link:

Second, ATL and Lat's predecessor blog, Underneath Their Robes, predate the LL relationship discussed in the above link.

Finally, LL does not "cold call," as your post suggests. They will only contact you if you register at their site.
