I am planning my yearly trip out to NYC and my last stop has always been Chumleys!! I have really gotten attached to Bob And Bobby and just found out today that Bobby died while at a fire in August!!! My heart is bursting. I am so sad about this news!!!And then on top of that trying to call Chumleys today to speak to Bob and finding tele: disconnected and now finally finding out that the building is gutted.....I am honestly so disheartened..Being a New Yorker (I moved to California 30 years ago)...and making Chumleys my favorite pub and Bob and Bobby my favorite bartenders of all time...and having it all gone is too damn much. Please send my regards to Bobby's family and if there is any way to get this info to Bob I'd really love to know how to get a hold of him.

PS I have some beautiful photos of the pub as well as beautiful ones I took of Bob Bobby and their friend Kelly at the bar 2 summers ago. I'd love to share them if you'r interested. I actually sent a copy of them out to Bobby last year!!!!
