Buckley - with whom I do not agree on ANYTHING, I remember his CIVILITY during the Firing Line shows. If someone was in over their heads, he didn't exploit their vulnerability. He wasn't a BULLY. BOTH Republicans and Democrats -- caretakers for the Conservative and Liberal BRANDS, should stop this scorched earth discourse. They are tainting the process. Substance cannot get through in this manner. Think of Hillary Clinton's MOCKERY and low ball hits that gentlemen cannot respond to -- and contrast that with Gore Vidal carefully, forcefully and judiciously making his case with Bill Buckley. Then, weep. Turn the page.
