The conservative Canadian government pushed the Obama story, presumably to grease Mcains election skids with a
Clinton opposition. So two lessons for Obama- first is that when the dirt starts flying don't be afraid to pick up a shovel. Secondly, he should reflect on the mealy mouthed competition he engaged with Hillary on the whole NAFTA debate in Ohio. Turns out that Ohio has been a net winner in increased trade with Canada. Perhaps redefining the terms of the debate to give it some meaning to Ohio voters would have been helpful -like looking at the exchange rate of the chinese yuan?
