Liz Smith is an absolute treasure. When I was trying to get some ink for an event I was producing in Marfa, TX, I mailed her a press release, then called her office the next morning. To my surprise she answered the phone herself! A few days later there was the blurb in her column.
I've never forgotten that.
Thanks so much for this wonderful piece on an absolutely adorable woman.
