Joe, your critique of Hillary's response is good. What she COULD have said reasonably she chose to not say. But, as much as I detest Hillary (I do not hyperbolize), I must point out that Obama COULD have broken down the provocation and fallacy of the question, too. He really did not. He tried to answer the question rather than challenge it ... or its contextual underpinnings such as blaming Iran for failures in Iraq, a failure of logic and sane policy which hawks seem to want to exploit. Does Obama also not know any better? Or did he, too, perhaps calculate? Both candidates failed to talk us down from the precipice.
