Freddy's Linguistic Legacy

He may not have done so well at the polls, but there's something about Freddy that seems a little, well, catchy.

"Overindict."

It's a word that Freddy all but coined, though he then found himself unable to control it. On Google, the word appears only twice without "Ferrer" in the same search.

So Chuck Schumer must have been paying more attention to the Mayor's race than he let on.

Here's Chuck talking to Gabe Pressman about Pat Fitzgerald yesterday morning, in one of the two times he used the word:

"[He] will not overindict. He won't make indictments just to make hay 'cause he's a special prosecutor, but he won't underindict."
