Port Polls

In today's Crain's Insider [subscription required]:

"A straw poll yesterday of the New York congressional delegation shows unanimous opposition to letting Dubai Ports World operate in New York Harbor, at least pending an investigation." Crowley, Serrano, Owens, and Velazquez did not respond to the paper's inquiry.

Also opposing the deal: 69% of respondents to a Crain's New York Business online poll.

And what national security story would be complete without an 9/11 refence? Today's comes from Carolyn Maloney who said the port deal is a sign of "pre 9/11 mentality."

so, were you snide about "pre 9/11 mentality" comments when they came from, gasp! fear-mongering republicans? I think not.

I'm just glad that we refenced.
I feel much safer now

Was Maloney reading Margeret Carlson this morning?

Could someone please run against Maloney. Please!

Major Owens (who was out of the country on Wednesday) has since weighed in against the Dubai deal. No shock there.

Maloney's idea of originality has always been to steal an idea before anyone else does and repeat it ad infinitum until it sounds like a trite cliche.

This time I guess she skipped the middleman and just was trite to begin with.
