Not What They Had in Mind?

The New York College Republican’s blog has an interesting little scoop: The Log Cabin Republicans have a PAC, whose only income is from the New York State Republican Party.

And the PAC, in turn, has contributed to a number of gay rights groups, like the Gay Alliance of the Genesee Valley.

Which is to say that GOP donors may be a bit surprised to see where their money is going.

Maybe GOP stands for "Gay Old Party?"

Or "Gang of P**fters"?

Log Cabin is proud to be a Republican organization and working hard to support a winning, inclusive party. Our PAC was very aggressive in supporting the elections of Governor Pataki and Mayor Giulliani. In recent years our focus has shifted to grassroots party building and issue advocacy, for example promoting social security reform. The contribution we received from the State Republican Party was specifically designated to promote our Party and our conservative, inclusive values in the gay community, which we did by buying ads in various publications. Log Cabin is group for wealthy self-hating hypocritical homosexuals to pander to a party that is officially anti-gay and frequently refuses or returns their money. Also, I’m still waiting to meet a Log Cabinite that lives in a red state (and not someplace like Atlanta) and is out of the closet as a Gay Republican--they live in Blue States were Democrats don’t discriminate, scapegoat and demonize them and have given them rights.

God help the State GOP.

Talk about lost...

I don’t know much about Gay history but weren’t several important GOP figurines Gay? Who was the Royn Cohn guy who staffed for Joe McCarthy? He made all same sexers proud didn’t he? I’ll write my checks to Barney Frank. Barney for President.
