Plotting in Florida
The anti-Spitzer PAC effort seems to be gathering momentum, with this report that Ken Langone and Tom Golisano met in Florida.
A Golisano advisor notes that Eliot’s decision to play hardball in a face-to-face meeting with the Rochester billionaire is not looking like such a good idea.
"I assumed at the time that he acted the way he did because he assumed Golisano wanted to run and the thought there was no downside," he said. "Golisano went to the meeting wantting to like Eliot, and prepared to support him."
who cares what 2 billionaire BS artists say and do in Florida!!! Let them plot against Spitzer. It just points to the corrupt culture of the super-wealthy. Protect the misdeeds of the big insurance companies, wall street investment banks, the stock exchange and all those who are party to the insider dealings to make each other wealthy.
I hope Governor Spitzer uses all his influence to crack down on the abuses that these guys have taken advantage of all these years and becomes an EQUALIZER for the common people.

It’s one thing if Spitzer is making enemies of these guys on principle. The fact of the matter is its his personality that is turning people against him.
If I were Spitzer’s advisors, I’d lock him in a room until November. He is his own worst enemy. Forget about the billionaires, he will rub rank and file dems the wrong way if given the chance.
Remember what happened in 2004 with an unlikeable candidate and plenty of Swiftboat 527’s?
Spitzer’s big idea is to chase the financial industry(which only supports the state’s otherwise lethargic economy and in era of broadband conenctions is looking for a reason to leave anyway) out of NYC. That and ignoring the rampant Medicaid fraud on the state budget, since doing something would upset Dennis Rivera and 1199, seem to be the reasons for Spitzer’s candidacy. What an equalizer-if you want New York to be the equal of a banana republic run for the benefit of public service unions and developers like Spitzer’d dad at the expense of anyone silly enough to keep his business and home in NY.

Last I checked, Eliot was at 68-18 against one R contender and 66-19 against the other one, while Suozzi’s support seems to be sinking. So perhaps that analysis is a bit of wishful thinking.
If you screwed the little people out of money or other possessions, the Equalizer is coming to get you. And when you do it to get rich, he will shut you down.
Bloomberg and his buddies will find a new era begins on January 1, 2007. He is most illustrative of gouging the public. How, you ask? By charging outrageous prices for his machine to public companies, it gets passed onto the stockholders and customers who get screwed.
It’s not his personality that got Langone mad at Spitzer, it’s his sawsuit against Langone. As far as Golisano, it’s pretty obvious that he’s a flake - a rich flake, but stiil a flake.
