Bloomberg's Snapple Portion

While Bill Clinton and Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee took on obesity uptown with pledges from Coke and Pepsi to cut down soda portions for kids during the school day, Mayor Bloomberg was left to defend his favorite soft drink.

"Snapple has calories like other things," said Bloomberg.

Exactly. Snapple is sweetened not with sugar, but with high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) like other things...such as Coca-Cola, Twinkies and Hershey bars. Compare the calories and sugar content of a Snapple to a soda and you'll be surprised at how similar they are.
