 <title>Gyllenhaal Leads Atlantic Theater Lineup </title>

 <description><![CDATA[<!--paging_filter--><p>Via <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/19/arts/19arts-HIGHPROFILEL_BRF.html?ref=arts" target="_blank"><em>The New York Times</em></a>: The work of Tony award winners John Gallagher and Martin McDonagh will return to the Atlantic Theater Company for the 2008-09 season. Gallagher will star alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in Beau Willimon’s new <em>Farragut North</em>, a political drama loosely based on Howard Dean’s 2004 bid for the presidency, while a revival McDonagh’s 1998 <em>The Cripple of Inishmaan</em> will be directed by Garry Hynes. Additionally, a play by the filmmaker Ethan Coen, called <em>Offices</em>, a trio of one-act comedies focusing on workplace unpleasantness, will be directed by the Atlantic’s artistic director Neil Pepe. Atlantic Stage 2 will feature a new work by David Pittu, called <em>What’s That Smell: The Music of Jacob Sterling</em> and another as yet unannounced production. </p>]]></description>

 <title>McPherson&#039;s Port Authority Pulling Into the Atlantic</title>

 <description><![CDATA[<!--paging_filter--><p>Conor McPherson’s <em>The Seafarer</em> might be wrapping its Broadway run on Sunday at the Booth, but the Irish playwright won’t be put out to sea for too long on New York stages. Atlantic Theater Company will present the New York premiere of McPherson’s 2001 play <em>Port Authority</em>, starting previews April 30 for a May 21 opening, <a href="http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117983047.html?categoryid=15&amp;cs=1&amp;nid=2569">according to Variety</a>. Henry Wishcamper will direct Brian D’Arcy James, John Gallagher Jr. and Jim Norton in the story of three generations of Irishmen grappling with loss, failure and the elusiveness of love in contemporary Dublin. </p>]]></description>
