Christian Curry in Court Again, For 'Criminal Threat'

What's Christian Curry, the controversial banker who became famous for suing Morgan Stanley in 1998 for $1.3 billion for racial and sexual discrimination, up to these days?

According
to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office, making criminal
threats and resisting arrest! According to Sandi Gibbons, the D.A.'s
Public Information Officer, Mr. Curry is scheduled to appear in
superior court on the charges detailed in a court document received by
The Daily Transom (click through here or at "Read More" below to look at it).

We
haven't yet untangled all of Mr. Curry's negotiating with the D.A.'s
office since December 2005, when we are told his legal troubles began,
but we're digging into the story for tomorrow's edition of The Observer.

According to Ms. Gibbons, Mr. Curry, who
was representing himself but had an attorney assisting him, has made 49
court appearances since late 2005, but that this case has still not
progressed beyond the pretrial hearing stage. His next pretrial hearing
is scheduled for Dec. 27.

And he has since lost the help of the attorney.

"I'm no longer assisting Mr. Curry. It got to the point where it became exhausting," attorney Stephen Rodriguez told The Observer. read more »
