Charter School Renews at Moinian's 17 Battery Place
The John V. Lindsay Wildcat Academy renewed its lease on a 23,050-square-foot space at the Moinian Group's 17 Battery Place in Lower Manhattan. Newmark Knight Frank negotiated the deal on behalf of Moinian and CBRE represented the charter school. read more »
Verizon Renews 37,000 Feet at Moinian's 90 John
Joe Moinian might get good phone service for some time to come, as Verizon has renewed a lease for 37,092 square feet at the Moinian Group’s 90 John Street. Verizon was represented by Jennifer Schwartzman and David Noonan of Newmark Knight Frank, while Adam Leshowitz of Newmark Knight Frank represented Moinian.

A Moinian Takes a Rental Building in Chelsea
Fortuna Realty Group, headed up by Morris Moinian, has paid $31.4 million for a pre-war rental building at 112 Ninth Avenue, at the border of the meatpacking district and Chelsea, city records show.
Recognize the name? Morris, who tends to stick to building hotels, is the brother of the development mogul Joseph Moinian, CEO of the Moinian Group. read more »
Owner of London Fog Takes 30,000 Feet at 1450 Broadway
A fashion company that owns brands such as London Fog, Mudd and Joe Boxer, has signed a 30,556-square-foot lease at Joseph Moinian's 1450 Broadway.
The deal for the Iconix Brand Group was announced today by the Moinian Group, which brokered the deal along with Newmark Knight Frank.

Shvo It Off! W Downtown Condos On Sale Nov. 7
We just got an email from Shvo, the marketing firm run by the redoubtable Michael Shvo, to say that the condos inside the future W New York Downtown will go on sale Nov. 7.
The Observer broke the news in March of Mr. Shvo's work on the tower at 123 Washington Street, which is being developed by Joseph Moinian. The tower will include 222 condos and 217 hotel rooms.
Shvo is also marketing the condos at 20 Pine The Collection, another financial district creation that's helping change the neighborhood, for better or for worse.
Moinian Closes on 417 Fifth Avenue for $125 M.
Joseph Moinian has officially closed on 417 Fifth Avenue.
The developer dropped $125 million for the 11-story, 392,000-square-foot building, according to city records.
The Observer reported way back in February when this deal went to contract. The building sits on the corner of 38th Street and some of its main tenants are a 10-year-old boy’s dream come true: Atari and Marvel Entertainment. read more »
