Brad Pitt Ignores Toxicity on Today

Brad Pitt took to the Today show this morning, where he chatted with Ann Curry about his new foundation, called “Make it Right,” which plans to build some 150 “green” homes in New Orleans’ battered 9th Ward. Curiously, there was no talk of the high toxicity levels in the soil, which was recently reported in The Observer. Mr. Pitt did, however, did tell Ms. Curry that the charitable project is taking priority over his film career at the moment. “Sure, I guess so. Right now, this is the focus, and we’re going to see this thing through.” Hopefully Make it Right can make the foundation right before people move in.

Heather Mills on Today

Heather Mills may want to just disappear sometimes, but one wouldn’t know it from her recent press march. Ms. Mills, 39, a onetime nude model and the erstwhile spouse of Paul McCartney, went on the Today show this morning with a bad case of logorrhea. (“I fell in love with a man, not a Beatle!” she reportedly said at one point during the 10-minute long interview.) Apparently, it’s not the fear of being alone and without the $100 million divorce settlement—money she turned down because of its attendant gag order—that bothers Ms. Mills, it’s the relentless media coverage she’s garnered since the duo took a trip to Splitsville. At least she knows better than to do something like go on the Today show...oh...nevermind.
