Kanye West might collaborate on a line of clothing with the Gap, or appear in a Gap commercial, or both! The hip hop artists was spotted this afternoon in Gap's corporate NYC offices. [Jezebel]

Cartier has filed suit against Donna Karan, charging the designer with stealing the name of the luxury jewelry maker's Tank watch by selling her own model called the Women's Ion-Plated Tank Watch. Cartier's version costs $10,000 and up; Ms. Karan's is $115. [NY Post]

Richie Rich said that his wonderfully whimsical Heatherette line, which he designs with Trevor Rains, is far from being over--even though both of the designers are taking a break from it. [The Cut]  read more »

Last night, socialite, sometime Gossip Girl, and new face of Myla Lingerie Lydia Hearst hosted a cocktail party and fashion show to celebrate Freshpair.com's 6th Annual National Underwear day. (Every other day of the year is apparently not underwear day!) 

Also in attendance at Espace were Russell Simmons and designers Izzy Gold and Richie Rich, as well as a bevy of reality television habitues: Elle contributing editor and America's Next Top Model judge Nole Marin, Ben DiChiara of Bravo's Make Me A Supermodel, and Real Housewives of New York City stars and co-dependent couple Alex McCord and Simon van Kempens.  read more »

Putting well-known names on invitations and tip sheets is a standard way of publicizing a charity event in New York. The promise of clinking glasses with an actor or a socialite brings out a larger crowd to bid on whatever is being auctioned off, and ultimately brings in more money for the cause. Everybody wins.
